Goosebump Material

Maybe it’s just because I’m a major science nerd, but watching and listening to this video gave me goosebumps.

The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter will enter lunar orbit at 05:43 a.m. EDT (09:43 GMT) on Tuesday, June 23. That’s tomorrow! I’m looking forward to all of the pictures and other cool stuff to come.

From NASA’s LRO site:

The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) is the first mission in NASA’s Vision for Space Exploration, a plan to return to the moon and then to travel to Mars and beyond. The LRO objectives are to finding safe landing sites, locate potential resources, characterize the radiation environment, and demonstrate new technology.

We’re going back to the moon!
